Izi is a 20 yo digital angel and multidisciplinary artist from Austin Texas. Pairing electronic pop with melancholic lyrics and siren-like harmonies, her self produced compositions evoke feelings of a nostalgia for a place that never was, and a comforting sadness in the fact that nothing ever stays the same.
Born Izabel Nicole Seitz, Izi grew up surrounded by creativity, being introduced to dance, writing, and music at a very young age. She doesn’t remember when or why she started writing music, but just that she hasn’t stopped since. At age 13, during lockdown, she began to render these songs in a digital form; learning to produce on garageband for the ipad and recording alone in her bedroom. Struggling with depression and OCD, songwriting became a therapeutic means of expression more than ever before. She found comfort in the melodies forged through a computer screen, and lyrics written like a page from her diary. Music became her one constant in an ever changing world.
During this time, the internet became her friend and she began a fascination with the old web. She was drawn to a simpler and more authentic internet, as well as the contradicting ephemeral, yet permanent nature of the web. With preserved mundanities and proof of a world that no longer exists, this era of customization and creativity continues to inspire her work today.
In December of 2025, she self released her debut EP drift, a dream-like collection of 5 songs written and produced over the course of 4 years. Drawing directly from her teenage life, it processes her struggles with mental health and change.
She now studies Audio Technology and Industry at Austin Community College and has found a growing appreciation for the technical aspects of song creation and recording. She continues experimenting with different mediums, intersecting art and technology to create. She hopes to release more music in the next year, paired with visual mediums to create a world of her own.
